love story
A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it every day. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow . He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by...the little boy had grown up, And he no longer played around the tree every day.
One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.'Come and play with me,' the tree asked the boy.I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees anymore' The boy replied.
'I want toys. I need money to buy them .'Sorry, but I do not have money... But you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money. The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples.
The tree was sad .
One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited 'Come and play with me' the tree said.I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family.
We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?
' Sorry', I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches To build your house.
' So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.
One hot summer day,
The man returned and the tree was delighted. 'Come and play with me!' the tree said.
'I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. 'Can you give me a boat?' 'Said the man'.
'Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.' So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.
Finally, the man returned after many years. 'Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore.
' No more apples for you... ', The tree said.
'No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite ', The man replied.
'No more trunk for you to climb on' 'I am too old for that now' the man said.
'I really cannot give you anything...
'The only thing left is my dying root', The tree said with tears.
'I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years' the man replied. Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest,
Come, come sit down with me and rest.
' The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears...
your parent. !!!!!

Healesville Sanctuary Excursion
Just a friendly reminder that you will need to bring your excursion money for Healesville Sanctuary on Monday.
The cost is $38 per person.
Healesville Sanctuary
Healesville is about an hour and a half out of the city. Healesville Sanctuary is one of the three animal parks you can visit in Melbourne. The first is the Melbourne Zoo, which is close to the city. The second is the open-range zoo in Werribee, and the third is Healesville Sanctuary. But all the species at Healesville Sanctuary have in something in common: the fact that most of them are unique to Australia. If you want the quintessential Australian native species experience, Healesville is the place to visit. Here, you can pat koalas, hold baby wombats, have lunch with kangaroos and witness the eccentricity of the platypus. The Birds of Prey show is well worth seeing; it's a chance to see raptors up close, and to watch as they exhibit distinctive species behaviour.
Here are some pictures and a video about Healesville to give you a
'sneak preview' of the Sanctuary before our excursion on Thursday.

Mousa's pathway
Let me tell you about Mousa's very interesting life before he arrived here in Australia. Mousa was born in the costal city of qatif near the east coastof Saudi Arabia. He was born in a large family, but his father passed away when he was only nine years old. This left his mother to raise many chilren on her own. Mousa graduated frome high school in 2003, and in 2004 he went to Riyadh to comlete a Bachelor Dagree in Chemistry. In 2007 he graduated frome the Dammam Teacher's College, and later decided to come to australia to further his language studies and complet a Master Degree in Biochmistry.
There are two main reasons that Mousa decided to study Biochemistry in Australia. one reason was conversation he had aith his good friend Mustafa. His friend Mustafa told him that life and study in Australia was a good experience for him, and that maybe Mousa should also consider this pathway.
New a way for learning
Hi everybody I’m Khaled from Saudi Arabia, and I have been in Australia since June, 2009. Actually I came here to improve my language and complete my Master of Business. When I graduate I will return back to my country to make real my dream.
Let me tell you about something, which surprised me and help me for my language and also my study skills. In fact, I have repeated Elicos 2 twice . Sure I wasn’t happy about that, but when I complete and change the program I find much information to push me up. For example, with this blog I can communicate with my teacher and my classmates anytime and anywhere. Furthermore, my teacher has spent more time to make all things easy for us, and that is reflects on the students. Now I’m happy because I learn more and more every day and I will study harder than before , because this blog is convenient for me.
Some good pathways sentences
Back home, I worked for my parents in their import-export business. I think that having a degree in finance will be helpful for them, so I decided to study overseas.
I chose to study in Australia because I have relatives there, and the other important reason is the qualifications from Australia are well-regarded.
I know it will take a long time, but I am prepared to study hard and so make my parents proud of me.

Daily Scheule
Man: Well, I usually get up around 5:00 a.m. and work on the computer until 6:00 a.m.
Woman: Why do you get up so early?
Man: Well, I have to leave home at twenty to seven (6:40 a.m.) so I can catch a bus at 7:00 o'clock . It takes me about twenty minutes to walk to the bus stop from my house.
Woman: And what time do you get to work?
Man: Uh, my bus takes about an hour to get there, but it stops right in front of my office.
Woman: That's nice. And what time do you get off work?
Man: Uh, around 5:00 o'clock. Then, we eat dinner around 6:30, and my wife and I read and play with the kids until 8:00 or so.
Woman: So, when do you work on your website? You said one time that you create it at home?
Man: Well, my wife and I often watch TV or talk until 10:00 o'clock. She then often reads while I work on my site, and I sometimes stay up until the early hours of the morning, but I try to finish everything by one or two.
Woman: And then you get up at 5:00 a.m.?
Man: Well, yeah, but it's important to live a balanced life. I enjoy what I do, but you have to set aside time for the family and yourself.
Woman: I agree.
Man: But I think my wife has the toughest job. She spends her whole day taking care of our family . . . taking the kids to school, working in the garden, buying groceries, taking the kids to piano lessons . . . [Wow!] It's a full-time job, but she enjoys what she does.
Woman: Well, it sounds like you're a busy, but lucky man.
Man: I think so too.

Queen - We are the Champions
Here are the lyrics to today’s song:
We are the champions
I've paid my dues - Time after time -
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime -
And bad mistakes I've made a few
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face -
But I've come through
We are the champions - my friends
And we'll keep on fighting - till the end -
We are the champions - We are the champions
No time for losers 'Cause we are the champions -
of the world -
I've taken my bows And my curtain calls -
You brought me fame and fortuen and everything that goes with it -
I thank you all -
But it's been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise -
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race -
And I ain't gonna lose -
We are the champions - my friends
And we'll keep on fighting - till the end -
We are the champions - We are the champions
No time for losers 'Cause we are the champions -
of the world -

Writing a Good Paragraph
There are three reasons why Canada is one of the best countries in the world. First, Canada has an excellent health care system. All Canadians have access to medical services at a reasonable price. Second, Canada has a high standard of education. Students are taught by well-trained teachers and are encouraged to continue studying at university. Finally, Canada’s cities are clean and efficiently managed. Canadian cities have many parks and lots of space for people to live. As a result, Canada is a great place to live.
Topic Sentence
A Paragraph: Melbourne is a wonderful city.
